The Kit Carson County Carousel is located on the Kit Carson County Fairgrounds in Burlington Colorado. Burlington is adjacent to Interstate 70…160 miles east of downtown Denver or 12 miles west of the Kansas Border. The Carousel is housed in the large twelve-side building.
The Local Shortcut
Take I-70 Exit 437. Go NORTH past all of the fast food restaurants to the stoplight. Continue north, cross the railroad tracks and then take an immediate right (East) on a gravel road past Joe's Garage. Continue east past the baseball field and the Fairgrounds will be on your left. Turn into the Fairgrounds.
The Longer Route (by a few blocks)
Take I-70 Exit 437. Go NORTH past all of the fast food restaurants to the stoplight (this is Rose Avenue/Old Highway 24). Turn right (east) and go seven blocks to 15th Street. Turn left (north) on 15th and then travel north five blocks. Once you cross the railroad tracks, the Fairgrounds will be on your left.
